Chapter 11 The Swerve
What I like about Chapter 11 of “The Swerve,” is how the author explores the aftermath of Lucretius’s ideas on the Renaissance. He talks about how the rediscovery of Lucretius’s work impacted art, philosophy, and science. Not only the he brings up Isaac Newton, “Showing the big shift towards humanism and a renewed interest in Epicurean thought.
