In 2021 one of the big streets in Detroit Michigan, had added bike lanes to make it more safe for the active people in the city to ride. Since it has been added though many people have complained since it has been created due to the traffic it has caused. The phrases that many people have been saying to take out their frustration is, “That bike lane is for white people.” Or even worse, “That’s some white people shit”. Many minorities have began to make the situation a stereotypical problem rather than a city issue.

The writer Amara Small, student at the University of Michigan as well as a Detroit native, brought up the fact that the city is known for being one of the blackest places in America. Many minorities have not gotten over the fact that many causations have began to move into the area, as well as add more luxurious town homes and restaurants. The question that becomes comes to attention is why does this become a stereotypical matter than the community upgrading as a whole?

Though Small believes that these phrases should not be used, she does agree that the wealthy should not change the city and its courage. What she wants change on is very everything to not be stereotypicalized.

Somehow and someway cigarettes have found a way to make a comeback to young adults. It all starts at college party, one person will pull out a pack and use the phrase, “A drunk cigarette doesn’t count “. From there it goes to having them more often when you drink and soon you begin to become addicted.

Writer Nolan Sargent, brought up the conversation to his friends and they agreed that cigarettes have a found a way back into world. One way or another people try to justify saying that celebrities do it or even worse that they are going to eventually die. Though nicotine has made somewhat of a comeback Sargent brings up that the fact that cigarettes are still at the lowest they’ve been at. One thing the article does not bring up though is how much people have converted to vapes.

Cigarettes are gone but tobacco is definitely back, possibly even at a higher rate. Now kids that are in high school or as early as middle schoolers have found ways to hold on to these devices because they think they are cool. Expert should look into how nicotine has affected more people and more importantly how these people react when they do not have nicotine.

Sargent suggests that people stop promoting these devices saying how they use them on breaks or even if they are going to the bathroom they will smoke their device. It’s as bad as having your telephone with you at all times? Yes cigarettes are back and though they are low, how will we find a solution to have these people get over these addictions they face?
